I'm here for the Codex Fish and Fishery Products Conference.  Usually they hold this meeting in Norway, but this time of year there is limited daylight hours there - and also very cold.  The host decided to switch to South Africa instead.

Sorry to have to type in English.  I can't use my notebook, and the hotel terminals don't have Thai fonts.

SA is quite open in terms of guns.  At the airport there is a specific "Firearms" room - they cater to safari tour and such.

The twisted Python is just an art curio.  I'd bet the barrel was 12 inches before being knotted.

Hello from  BKK krub.  So are you still coming over to Boston in March?  I am on my way there at the end of next week already.

BTW, since you are in the Diamond Haven(or Hell!!) already, why not looking for a good big ROCK for your better half then :)  Maybe something on a plaque so she can put it on her .22 bench-rest rifle or something :)
