For those parents who have their children in the US, this is their worst nightmare. But dont feel bad, my one and only daughter totaled 2 cars before she even finished high school. The first one she said the other party ran the stop sign and hit her. The second one she was rehearsing the speech for her high school graduation while driving, and hit a parked car. Luckily, there was no serious injury involved in both accidents (thank you VOLVO). Our insurance rejected her; she ended up going to college with a bicycle. Even now (shes almost 30 years old), she has an accident once every few months. Against all my fatherly advices, she drives a fire engine red Lexus sport coup. All we can do as parents are just give them good advices and then pray for the good Buddha to protect them.
My Children still too young to drive so I have a few year to prepare myself to share those experiences .BUT my Daugther ( 11 yrs old) drove a Go-Cart for a first time a couple of month ago and hit the concrete berrier the car went airborne came back down and bounced back up needless to say she broke her ankle , bite her tongue almost in half . I know exactly how you feel .
