Hot shot หรือกระสุนร้อน เป็นวิธีการยิงกระสุนเพลิงแบบหนึ่ง คือเอากระสุนไปเผาไฟให้ร้อนแดงแล้วคีบขึ้นมาหย่อนลงลำกล้อง พอกระสุนไหลลงไปโดนดินปืนก็จะยิงออกไปเอง นิยมใช้ยิงเรือครับ กระสุนร้อนแดงไปตกตรงไหนจะทำให้ติดไฟโดยเฉพาะถ้าไปถูงถังดินปืน หรือคลังดิดำ รับรองกระจุยทันที
